Over one year in the making! I have compiled the results of the 2007 Requirements Review into a draft report at:

http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/confluence/display/REQ/2007+Requirements+Review+Report

Please review this document and send any comments to me (or at the bottom of the page).

Note that we will not be conducting a community prioritization effort as defined in the original review methodology. Even after reducing the number of open feature requests to 940 (at this time), I cannot expect people to wade through that many Jira items and vote on their favorites. Instead, area leaders were requested to recommend a "top ten" requests list. These are documented in twelve areas in the report and include links to the Jira entries (from the online version).

I'd like to take this opportunity thank all of the people involved in the review effort. It was quite a bit of work and I think this document will be of use to the rest of the community as we move forwards.

Michael K. and I have been discussing where requirements work goes after this. He and I have some ideas that we will be exploring with you in the near future. We will be contacting you to see if you are interested in participating. Is there interest in a Requirements BOF at the upcoming conference in Newport Beach?
